Online product training

The brief

Habasit Holding AG, headquartered in Reinach, is a leading internationally active Swiss manufacturer of power transmission belts and conveyor belts. The group, which consists of more than 30 subsidiaries, has 16 production sites and representatives in over 70 countries.

The Corona pandemic presented Habasit with the challenge of redesigning live training and professional development due to travel restrictions. tabevents was therefore tasked with creating an alternative format to train employees while measuring learning outcomes. The overarching goal was to provide employees with knowledge that remains entertaining and enthusiastic.

The solution and result

The new online training tool is called Habasit Belting Seminar (HBS). The HBS consists of 4 modules and includes videos, presentations and short quizzes. By solving the quizzes, the participant gets the opportunity to get to know Habasit's product range better, understand it and discover how to use it efficiently.

The new training format also offers the following advantages:

- Time and budget savings: the new online training not only saves time, but also budget due to eliminated travel costs and travel time.

- Time flexibility: the new training tool can be conducted at any time of the day, regardless of the time zone, and entirely according to the day's schedule. Everyone decides when is the best time to absorb something new.

- Learning speed: each participant determines his/her own learning speed.

- Learning control: By evaluating the quiz answers, Habasit has the possibility to specifically work on knowledge gaps.

The tool from tabevents enabled us to make our online training more lively and interesting than it was before. We were accompanied throughout the process - during the creation of the quiz, during the training and also with the evaluation and debriefing. We will continue to use the tabevents tool for internal training in the future.
